This week I wanted to try something new. So here is my attempt at a scavenger hunt on Twitter. I hope you like the infusion of technology into our normal chats because there are some tasks that require you to use your camera during the chat. To help you prep, I added the questions below to give you a chance to get your answers ready. Questions#PirateHunt #sstlap
Q1 - Introductory selfie - take a picture of yourself and share a little about how you are- name location grade level subject Q2A - This is something I don't do enough so thought it would be a good way to start -- Look at #sstlap feed from the past week or so and quote the tweet from another #sstlap person to #Piratehunt #sstlap. Explain why you chose this tweet to share. Q2B check #sschat to see if there is anything on that chat feed that you think is worth using in your classroom Q3 look at what is trending find a new hash tag and find something of interest to you. Quote that tweet and share to #PirateHunt #sstlap and make a comment about why you think this is worth sharing or what you learn from that feed that is trending. John Doe - investigation into corporations and wealth in politics in Wisconsin Q4 A. Followers - Please share at least 3 people that you follow and why - Quote this question in your response. Q4B. Follow 3 new people and share their names in your tweet- quote this question to respond. Q5 Video- use your phone or webcam to take a short video answering this question. Why do you join #sstlap? or Why do you enjoy teaching? or What is your number one goal or priority for this school year? Q6A Answer with tweet, pic, or video or other- How do you introduce yourself to students each year, share examples if possible. Q6B Introduce your real self beyond what you teach- who you are as a person. Q7A Homework for next week -- share pictures/videos of your room or examples of student work from this year. Share to #sstlap #PirateHunt Share multiple posts of the things you are doing this week. Q7B Homework for next week- virtual field trip - take a trip around your school or city and share a few places of interest.
