We need more P! Yes I know many of you are envisioning Will Ferrell and his SNL cowbell skit so here you go. Bottom line there isn't enough P floating around being siphoned up by those who need it most. We are not flooding our schools with P. Now that I have you either thinking I am gross, or a genius, or likely closer to having lost my mind - let's talk P. P in School - What does it mean?P stands for so many different things that are often times missing in school. P is often pushed to the side, especially during times of high stakes testing, or when we feel like we have so much content to cover and are short on time, or when some students behaviors become a challenge, or an in-service adds just one more thing to our plate or... We need to refocus on adding more P to get us through. What is P - well it is Passion Play Pirate Personalized and Personal Proactive Perceptive Performance Problem based Poise Protective/Protect Perseverance/Persistence Ponder/Inquiry Transcripts QuestionsAuthentic in terms of education can mean many things. Tonight we can examine a few of the ways Authentic applies to the world of teaching and learning.
