This week #sstlap was inspired by of course @burgessdave and #tlap. I joined the #tlap crew on Monday and followed the conversation about giving students opportunities to Stand and Deliver as Dave states it. In other words, providing students opportunities to present. I also think that student choice in these products is important so here are the questions below.
Q1 How do you have students demonstrate their understanding and knowledge of your subject? #sstlap Q2 How can you incorporate opportunities for students to present (Stand and Deliver) this understanding? #sstlap Q3 How do/can you create authentic, real world opportunities for students to present to authentic/real audiences? #sstlap Q4 How do/can you allow students to have choice in the methods of presentation/projects they use to demonstrate their level of understanding? #sstlap Q5 Challenge! Pick a lesson that you will revise to include- Ss choice, Present, authentic audience-share topic- later share results #sstlap Q6 How do/can you integrate music/poetry, art into Ss presentations to engage and challenge Ss? #sstlap Q7 What is your biggest takeaway? #sstlap Q8 What other topics do you think we should discuss in future #sstlap - Gamification is coming soon- Storified Archieves of tonight's chat. Tonight's topic is Sharapalooza! Your opportunity to showcase what you have done as a TLAP teacher to increase engagement in your classroom.
I have created a google spreadsheet to share lesson links and comments about what has been going on that can be more detailed than 140 characters. Please share your successes and bumps in the road. Sharapalooza Spreadsheet! Q1 Which lesson have you created this year that you would consider your number 1 ticket lesson? #sstlap Q2 Which other lessons are you most proud of having created or improved this year? #sstlap Q3 Which lesson are you working on that you are most excited to see students engaged in? #sstlap Q4 Which lesson did you create that flopped? What went wrong, and what can you do to salvage it? #sstlap Q5 What advice to you have for a new teacher who is looking for ticket lessons? #sstlap Q6 What is your greatest accomplishment from this year so far? #sstlap Q7 What other topics would you like to discuss on #sstlap?
