Tonight will be a combination of hooks and connections. I have the last 2 question from last week and then the new ones that connect to new learning opportunities.
I do have a question that I need assistance on- Q6 and Q6.1 discuss collaboration or group work- I use it in my class, but I struggle with assessing individual student achievement during these tasks- Any ideas on how to do this effectively? I have 89 freshmen world history students along with 40 other students to evaluate, so time is an issue. Any help would be appreciated. Q1 what story do I or can I use for an upcoming lesson to grab their curiosity? #sstlap Q2 my favorite. How can I add food or drink to my lesson and how will it fit? #sstlap Q3: What can you do or what tools could you use to create active learning environments? #sstlap Q4: How could giving students choices in their learning environments enhance engagement? #sstlap Q5: Are there some ways that you can “spice up” your lessons using media or technology? #sstlap Q6: What are some ideas that you have used that work to increase collaboration & interaction between students? #sstlap Q6.1- how do you assess group work? Q7: Are there tools that you have used to Allow Students to Interact with Experts Beyond the Walls of the Classroom ? #sstlap Q8: How can you use one of the examples we have discussed tonight in your classroom in the next few weeks? #sstlap Q9: What is your biggest takeaway from #sstlap tonight?
